I kept a journal after every outing for the majority of my career. So a newsletter felt like the right place to start.
Introducing The Save.
New issue every Tuesday at 9am ET.
Yes it covers baseball. My take on what’s happening in MLB, insider perspective you won’t get anywhere else, and career stories I’ve never told publicly.
But it’s more than that.
Retirement. Family. Youth sports. The mental side of competing. Life lessons from someone who learned most of them the hard way.
A little something for everyone.

Missed HR call last night during Orioles game was crazy. With all the tech in the game, this shouldn't happen. Could have an impact on final standings. We shall see.
@scottymoran11@ryanripkenshow Depends on the offer. I had Boras. Most of the time, this is the narrative around him. He has had many players sign extensions, though.
@tompoindexter2@ryanripkenshow Every situation is different. Players could run into coaches they don't mesh well with. I have been there. Ultimately, though, if you want to play for a long time, you as the player have to be your own best coach. It's your career.
@ThirstRoundPick@PaulValleIII@JakeDRill I don't think i ever quick pitched anyone, i had a hard enough time throwing my sinker for strikes. 🤣🤣🤣 No need to add to it.

Forcing HS kids to go to college first would be an interesting move for MLB. It cuts costs of player development, most likely will eliminate more MILB affiliates as well. As someone drafted out of HS, I find this interesting. I think most HS kids would benefit from the maturity gained in college, but fans lose out on generational talent. No more 19/20 yr Kershaw, Trout, Machado, Harper, etc at the MLB level. Probably a lot of other impacts as well, need to dive deeper.
@Nomadhidinghere@EvanDrellich I laugh at people that make statements about people they don't know. Acting like Scott controls the union is funny. The players on the subcommittee want what is best for all players not just the top ones. I know, i was on it. Educated on the economics as well. 👍
