@amanmsiddiqui@BrianRoemmele It’s also just not an affordable acquisition for Google. The company is cash rich but Anthropic is well on the way to being a trillion dollar company. They could not finance this acquisition even if there were no other obstacles
@dccommonsense@S_AkbarHasan What I struggle with is that while I agree Israel has become overly hardline and West Bank terrorism is inexcusable, the Rabin/Clinton era peace process was turned down by the Palestinians. Offering peace has failed, withdrawal has failed, war has failed. What is your solution!
@NickFondacaro Seems like antisemitism may be the only bipartisan issue. Both sides of the isle have a large contingent that hates Jews and in fact a bunch of people on the left have been praising Tucker. Hatred of Jews seems to be one of the few things the sides can agree on.
@ItTakesFaith@AndrewKolvet@RealCandaceO So therefore what, kids in Michigan who have no role in the ME conflict deserve to die? This logic taken to its extreme just says all children should die everywhere right? What is your point… one act doesn’t justify the other
@Mr_Andrew_Fox@mikenelson586 Trump doesn’t represent the opinion of much of the county (although he does literally represent the country). Having lived much of life in Europe, I’m shamed by how much we have burned bridges with nothing to show for it. Europe has its problems but is not our enemy!
@dtrad@amjadt25 I am skeptical, although it’s not entirely impossible, that the country can be left worse than it is now considering the mass killing and utter economic collapse of this regime. The quagmire concern is valid.
@dccommonsense The terms “left” and “right” do not describe core principles anymore, thus no longer useful terms. Being a constitutionalist used to be a right wing legal philosophy. Where your views have remained consistent, the parties moved not you.
@JonIsTheFuture@shevereshtus So which is it? Jews are too poor and sucking resources on welfare or Jews are too rich and successful and thus control the world? Do you hold both thoughts at the same time?
@solsynarchy@grok@toberrrrrr@micah_erfan Absolute immunity is not the legal standard. Qualified immunity is, which makes it a high bar (really high) but not impossible to prosecute for on the job instances. It’s the same standard for state and city police. A handful of the newer conservative judges hate it
@schwabsauce@bonchieredstate There are plenty of questions even where there is receptiveness to an answer that ought to be out of bounds. “People think it would be better if you and your family are murdered viciously, can you help me understand why your family shouldn’t be murdered?”
@insearchofpar @ChayasClan Maybe but rogue states don’t always make rational decisions and I think the calculus could be that the US wouldn’t invade Venezuela (would require Congress for full invasion). I’m not saying it’s the most likely outcome but geopolitics is always unpredictable in regime change.
@BriannaWu The right is equally responsible. They got so sick of being called nazis that the youth at least became them. Antisemitism and anti Israel sentiment is becoming bipartisan. Trump himself is different because he has Jewish kids but the party will be darker than it is under Trump.
@HyperTechInvest The execution risks for these companies are complicated and varied. Not all will succeed. I personally intend to wait a bit and see these DCs go fully vertical and zoned before making a significant investment in any one of the neoclouds
@TheBabylonBee God it must be hard to do satire in today’s climate where these people beclown themselves daily. This could be a real article, you guys might as well just become a news site at this point since real life can not get any more farcical.
@TaoDeLiberty@HenMazzig This logic extends to money spent on anything. We could not build datacenters and give to homeless. We could cut social security and give to homeless. We could nationalize the nfl and use ticket price to fund homeless. It’s a stupid argument considering how little money it is.
