In regards to the canvas prints, the holders of first 32 editions will receive them at no additional cost if they provide me with an address. You have to be holding the piece to redeem, so DO NOT sell 1-33 on secondary if you’d like a canvas.
Just minted this incredible piece Chimera #19 by @mpkoz from the @artblocks_io curated collection and I'm blown away. This piece is one of the original 32 so it comes with a 1/1 print on linen canvas - such a cool idea! but the digital piece is so much more impressive...
Newest addition to the collection! "Melinda and the Orchidee" - I couldn't be happier. @delphinediallo your work is evocative and ethereal! @QuantumNFT
here's another fraud I see: Pump and Dump. see this on larger NFT collections. buy a bunch early, promote it heavily on your twitter, get others to chase it and then sell yours. they could buy 10, cause a 10x price increase and only sell 2 to double their money. Its illegal!!
Watch out for people "spoofing" NFTs. placing bids in auction or on opensea that are never actually executed. I can see creators of 1/1s or small series bidding their own work to make it seem like there is more demand than there is or to set a floor. Its illegal!
@dunartist@kevinrose@proof_xyz@dunartist in the show you mentioned that you will retweet the link to the discord but I can't seem to find it? I just purchased one from the "memory" series and would love to connect!
@garyvee posts this last night, within seconds there is an exponential spike in sales as people chase his idea - prices slowly creep up and then overnight the “bots” come in and mass bid every recent purchase at 70% of the recent trade - creating false sense of demand.
I see a lot of price manipulation going on in the #NFT space. Every "investor" or "collector" that is relying on public transaction/price data would be wise to read "Reminiscences of a Stock Operator" - these price manipulation tricks have been around for centuries
Just minted this stunning photograph from the amazingly talented @delphinediallo through @QuantumNFT. Delphine says "Melinda is my first iconic woman in my work....We spend a lot of time creating the idea of iconic woman through her gesture and elegance." Consider me mesmerized!
It seems to me the most coveted NFTs fall into 4 categories: 1) new/original/first to do it #CryptoPunk@_deafbeef 2) Memberships/experiences @garyvee 3) metaverse real estate and related items 4) derivatives of #1 above #MutantApeYachtClub . To the NFT experts what am I missing?
@_jeffnicholas_@BoredApeYC How many traditional art pieces are selling for 3.5mm or higher??? 1k? 10k? 100k? In any case, these represent the best of the best art curated literally since the beginning of time.
@beeple is making some of the coolest digital art around, without question. I love his stuff but I’m no art critic. Todays market doesn’t incentivize curation - how many daily sketches/studies did Picasso or Van Gogh leave on the art room floor, never to be seen again?
Just because something is rare, doesn’t mean it is valuable. What #NFTs will people want to buy 3 years from now? Very likely only the ones that they think people will want to buy 10 years from now. A trend is a trend, only true art will survive.
Are #NFTs the next tulip or the next #dotcom? It’s hard to imagine much of the quick buck knockoffs of #crypropunks will be so valuable in 10 years, but somethings from this era certainly will
