The #data #sovereignty myth and what it actually means

Here's the false assumption I hear constantly:

"We're #GDPR compliant because we use a #European provider."

That's not how it works.

GDPR compliance isn't about the provider's headquarters. It's about where your data physically resides, whether cross-border transfers are contractually controlled (Articles 44–49), and whether you have a signed Data Processing Agreement you can actually show an auditor.
