When I tell people there's Misogyny then there's Urhobo/Isoko misogyny they don't seem to understand.
In my village, there's a day set aside to rape women. Yes RAPE ALL WOMEN YOU SEE OUTSIDE.
I witnessed this first-hand when my pastor's daughter a girl who was barely 13, was gang raped and these barbaric villagers made a case for the rapists including the Nigerian police.
Every day I wake up, I always have a legitimate reason to hate men, patriarchy, and the women who uphold patriarchy.
All of you will die a very shameful death. Useless animals
JUST WONDERING HOW MOMS are supposed to work 9-5, drop the kids off at school at 8 AM, pick them up by 3 PM, stay on top of school activities, meal prep, cook dinner, keep the house clean, do the laundry, run the kids to extracurricular activities, climb the corporate ladder, save sick days for when the kids are sick, be a good friend, daughter, and partner, all while trying to take care of their own body and mental health…
There needs to be a study on how UK weather slowly drains your motivation. Months of grey skies and my brain just switches off. I don’t want a holiday, I genuinely need one to survive
Honoring your vows, sir? 😂
Let’s be serious, this is exactly why it’s important to ask “Are you married to someone, or is someone married to you?” on the first date… because 😅look at this young man!
Do you have one of those “we’ll get married when we reach a certain age” pacts?
How’s that going for you?
I know I'm supposed to feel some sympathy for people who are being earnestly stupid because the stupidity isn't coming from a place of malice, but here's the thing.
No matter how earnest and well-intentioned your stupidity is, you're still being stupid. And stupidity is dangerous.
Maybe focus less on how you "feel" or "where your heart is," and worry more about making correct, data-based decisions and being on the right side of history.
