The skill was proving quite difficult to self teach. Lightsaber kata assumed a level of force sensitivity in the blade’s wielder that Hux simply lacked.

No matter how much he practiced there would be no flipping around the room and instinctively reflecting blaster fire for him.

It’s late. The training room is all but deserted. Even Ren has long since gone to bed.

Only Hux is still awake, practicing old republic Jedi lightsaber forms with a vibro-sword.

Using a real lightsaber would be better practice but he doesn’t quite feel ready for that yet.
