@US_Stormwatch Except, if you read the NHC forecasts for the last several days they’ve predicted just this. Low wind shear and high ocean temperatures in the Gulf lead to very conducive conditions, that it would strengthen quite a bit and quickly.

At the States of Independence literature festival at DMU yesterday, I was once again (it has happened every year) moved to tears by the sight of my amazing third year students launching their beautiful publications. I am so proud of all of them.

@RodDuncan I feel your pain… It’s even more frustrating when the rescheduled appointment gets cancelled as well. Really hope things change post-election but I fear it will take years to get the NHS back on an even (ish) keel again.
