📢 Official Announcement: ZecMap Platform Updates

As ZecMap, we are initiating a comprehensive update process aimed at improving user experience, increasing data accuracy, and strengthening integration with the Zcash ecosystem.
With this update, significant improvements will be implemented across both the user interface and the underlying infrastructure.

🎨 UI & Design Overhaul
The entire ZecMap interface is being redesigned, and all visual and design components are being fully revised in line with modern UX standards.

📍 Flexa Integration & Map Updates
Manual coordinates of merchants listed on Flexa are being re-verified and updated.
Additionally, Flexa pins will be displayed in a distinct purple color on the map to differentiate them from other listings.

🏢 Merchant Verification Enhancements
The merchant verification section will now include two additional fields:
•Last verified date
•Username of the verifier
This improvement aims to increase transparency and traceability within the verification process.

🔐 User Access Policy Update
To ensure a more secure and consistent data structure:
•Adding merchants, leaving reviews, and providing ratings will no longer be possible without user registration.

⭐ Review System Improvements
Users will now be able to attach images to merchant reviews, making feedback more detailed, visual, and verifiable.

⚡ Zcash Payment Guide
A new dedicated guide page is being introduced to simplify the process of accepting Zcash payments. This section will be guided by CipherPay.

🔎 Ecosystem Integrations
To provide deeper access to the Zcash ecosystem:
•A ZecHub link will be added to the platform.
•An automatic redirect feature to the Zodl wallet will be implemented.

🌍 Community Contribution System
A new “Community Contribution” section is being launched. Users will optionally be able to select their community when adding or reviewing merchants (e.g., Turkey, Spain, Brazil, etc.).
This feature is designed to enhance global community engagement and participation.

ZecMap continues to evolve toward a more transparent, collaborative, and scalable infrastructure that supports meaningful contributions to the Zcash ecosystem.
