@Emmanue89729957@BuyoyaJonah what does him being in active politics have to do with him being blocked from leaving the country for medical treatment??? is that what the constitution says that people in opposition cant leave for medical treatment?
@Emmanue89729957@BuyoyaJonah you have to remember, LPM evacuated MCS when he needed medical attention. (MCS was an opposition leader - not a former president). how then can a government that did not care for a Former President, "wish to honor him" after his death?
thats absurd...
@Emmanue89729957@BuyoyaJonah great question. in both LPM and KK situations, who was PAYING their Medical fees at the point of their deaths?
whoever pays your medical fees will be recognised as responsible for you at most hospitals... government can't come in after he dies and then claim to care.. i disagree
@Emmanue89729957@BuyoyaJonah you are not being objective at all. even when there is no law that directs how a president must be buried, you're trying to defend defunct ill willed intentions instead of admitting what is REAL. No law = no body, no entitlement to body. why not create the law so everyone knows?
@Emmanue89729957@BuyoyaJonah There were many Ill intentions on display. How can a “government” claim the right of a dead body persons body over his wife with whom he shared a bed? You don’t see Ill intentions there? Are you serious?
We have been made aware of a complaint against @ssishuwa sent to @StellenboschUni by supporters of Zambia’s president. The complaint relates to his commentary on governance issues. As a Dept, we warmly and unequivocally support Dr Sishuwa's academic freedom without interference.
@KanemaErnest@Malik_ZMB The very government treated him with impunity when he was alive according to what we saw. Death isn’t an excuse to write wrongs… the same energy needs to be kept
@KalebweMutwale very true, the courts of zambia have made many questionable decisions thus far that have leaned heavily towards those in leadership. I wish they could rule on the basis of law, because if they did, then even here the government would lose the case. but rn idk if they would...
@KalebweMutwale 100% ... more wisdom was needed in handling this on the part of the government.. dialogue matters more than strongarming others. now tax payers money will leave the country to handle legal fees. that is sad.
@KalebweMutwale We have no law that dictates where a former President should be buried so what right do we have to impose? Why not make the law to prevent future issues
