Jason Zackowski

Chem teacher, Science Presenter, Host of @sciencepawdcast but most importantly, Dog Dad of @bunsenbernerbmd (Bunsen and BEAKER) the science dogs.

[Jason Zackowski @ZedScience]

I was very proud to be part of 30,000 teachers today.

[Jason Zackowski @ZedScience]

Our school has an instituted a very strict no cell phone policy.

A kid got their quiz done early and asked if I had a magazine to read until the other students were done.

I almost cried.

Bunsen has given our family so much.

He’s a hero, he’s saved Beaker and a lost dog from the cold.

We’ve heard countless stories about how because of him, they are here today.

The universe doesn’t work this way, but whatever grace there is to spare, he needs it.

Happy Anniversary to my wife Kris
(@k_zackowski)

She is my best friend, my teammate, and the love of my life.

She is the Jaheria to my Minsc, and forever will she be my Wychlaran.

[Jason Zackowski @ZedScience]

It was such a honor to present about the importance of dogs to kids.

@k_zackowski rocked.

Bunsen and Beaker put on a show.

Everyone left with smiles and covered in slobber and hair.

Ok @CCTCA time to get your Hogwarts on.

@DoctorTLSmithy @k_zackowski Yes. I have swords.

Sometimes you don’t need to fight a dragon, climb towers, or trudge through a dungeon to find your princess.

Sometimes you just get lucky.

Happy Valentine’s Day to my favourite person in the world! @k_zackowski

(but I would totally fight a dragon for you.)

[Jason Zackowski @ZedScience]

I have been working for two weeks on my slime presentation at @CCTCA and I may be the most excited for the slime races!

Canadian Fireworks.❤️
When it is -30°C or colder you can chuck boiling water into the air.
Due to many factors such as the air being “full” due to the cold, tiny ice particles floating in the air, and the surface area of dispersed water you get this gorgeous display.

Today’s timeline cleanse of joy.

[Jason Zackowski @ZedScience]

@notyourdearabby He was trying to help her with math and she was teen level exasperated with him. 🤣

[Jason Zackowski @ZedScience]

Just thought I should post this.

My parents welcomed a mom and daughter, Ukraine Refugees, into their home two years ago.

The daughter is now an honors student, taking all advanced sciences and maths.

They fled bombs and death and found kindness instead.

Kindness matters.

[Jason Zackowski @ZedScience]

He also loves cooking with the mom, and teasing her about any new “boyfriend” she may have.

They both call him Robert when they are annoyed with him which is hilarious.

Canada is now their home, both want our country to be their country.

We are so lucky to have them.

[Jason Zackowski @ZedScience]

I was so grateful they were there during the first months after our loss.

My dad would have been alone with his grief.

It has been heartwarming to see their bond grow over time.

He has a back and forth with the teen like parent would.

Not all who wonder and wander are lost.

Here’s to exploring in 2024.❤️
