In Mira Road, Mumbai, extremist mobs persist in attacking Muslims and their properties, according to locals. Police, along with riot control and rapid action forces, have set up barricades in Naya Nagar and 13 individuals have been arrested for disturbing the peace.
Additional Commissioner of Police Shrikant Pathak at Mira Bhayandar issued an appeal to maintain peace in the area.

"We are investigating the incident. Action will be taken against the accused only. I appeal to everybody to maintain peace. The Police have taken timely action. We are investigating the entire matter by looking at the CCTV footage. There are small miscreants which still try to create nuisance," he said, according to ANI.
