@IDLrossy@jihadwatchRS so you're saying theoretically If all Muslims were saved from poverty, Muslim lives being more important than non-muslims, then Islam would be so generous as to allow zakat to be given to non-muslims
Misinformation!
Slavery IS mentioned in Quran and it allows owners to have sex with them without marriage.
Quran Does ask women to cover their heads
Quran does curse people for insulting Mohamed (Abu lahab is mentioned by name)
wonder what Quran says about misrepresenting it
Last week for #ExMuslim#HadithOfTheDay we discussed Muhammeds marriage to a 6 year old Aisha.
This week we want to highlight Muhammeds hypocrisy and how he bent the rules to fulfill his own desires and protect his own daughter.

Don't be afraid to critique and dwelve into all the criticisms of islam with an objective, open mind because if it's the truth it will stand up to scrutiny. #ItsOkToLeaveIslam
@ahmadsnipx Just because it was phased out doesn't mean it wasn't banned outright at the end. Google the meaning of the word 'outright' for better understanding.
#WhenIWasAMuslim I was told that Islam had tried to phase out slavery by encouraging Muslims to free slaves. I later learned Muhammad encouraged and participated in taking slaves after battles. Apparently alcohol was a terrible enough thing to ban outright but not slavery?
#WhenIWasAMuslim I was told that #FGM wasn't part of islam and only boys should be circumcised. When I looked into it I realsied this wasn't true. There are many hadith stating it. All the main scholars agree that at the very least it is recommended.

while everyone celebrates #WorldHijabDay we have the first ever conviction of fgm in the UK. There are serious issues in Islam and fobbing of any attempt to discuss them with 'that's not real islam' has to stop.
#FreeFromHijab#WorldHijabDay
Religion has certain ideas at the heart of it which we call sacred or holy or whatever. What it means is, 'Here is an idea or a notion that you're not allowed to say anything bad about; you're just not. Why not? because you're not!'
Douglas Adams
Genuinely not sure why we need a @WorldHijabDay.
As long as there are women who aren't #FreeFromHijab, why shine the light on being #FreeInHijab? It means nothing to be free unless you can be free *from* it.
This Feb 1st, until everyone can choose, #NoHijabDay > #WorldHijabDay
#WhenIWasAMuslim I was taught that if a man and woman who had been divorced wanted to give the marriage a second try then the woman would first have to marry someone else and divorce them. I thought it was illogical and making light of marriage. #rejectingislam
Rahaf Mohamed risks imminent deportation from #Thailand to #SaudiArabia. Time is of the essence. Pls do anything you can to help. How many Saudi women need to escape and be forcibly returned to their male guardians before the int’l cmmty stops this crime. #SaveRahaf#save_rahaf
@_fkdup_ Beliefs are just a set of ideas and they're not automatically worthy of respect. People on the other hand, such as ex-muslims, are. Beliefs that suggest they're not and should be killed should be criticised.
An Islamic lecture I went to attributed the rising divorce rates to the financial independence of women in the west. The Sheikh implied that freedom made women greedy and arrogant, leaving perfectly good marriages in search for undeserved or unrealistic satisfaction
Even the sight of a woman bending over in prayer is too much! What it boils down to is that women are inherently wrong, and the less of them we see and hear, the better. And I can't stand for this bullshit any longer #NoHijabDay
