I've never seen the entire Dem independent media sphere *begging* me to disavow a candidate *before* the apparently-fatal scandal drops. I feel like I'm being told to invest in somebody's crypto that's "basically six hours away from going to the moon, dude, I swear" Buy MillsCoin

@hairball1952 All the people extremely mad at the idea of someone projecting their own beliefs and desires onto Laura Palmer are going to REALLY hate this one show from the 90s.
@montefisto13@Filmantopia@LouAnonAnon To be fair, he was replying to someone's comment defending a GoFundMe for lockable cut-proof underwear by arguing it'd allow women to get drunk & "pass-out" with "peace of mind". The comment IS offensive & wrong, but those parts are just referring to the topic under discussion.
@RadishHarmers@NC_Renic Honestly, while I feel like the crisis is real it's also often overblown/misrepresented. I encountered one student who had used ai instead of acquiring coping skills/accommodations for a learning disability. Upon going ai-less for my class he started working w/ a University tutor

@adamwren@dlippman Can you give an example of him publicly claiming to be a physician in a way that suggests (or could be reasonably interpreted as suggesting) he was a licensed practicing clinician?

@dlippman@adamwren Except for referring to the Hippocratic oath as "the oath I took when I became a physician", I could not find AES calling himself just a "physician". It's either "trained as a physician" or "I'm a physician and epidemiologist", neither of which connotes licensed clinical practice

@ruminantanimal@TheSunnyWillow@MikalGoodmanMI In the future, please refer to them as the "alleged examples I claim to have seen" until you have provided evidence for their existence

@dlippman@adamwren And, since the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where AES got his M.D., does not use the original Hippocratic oath, but a modernized variant, what he actually said is still technically more accurate than if he had merely said "the Hippocratic oath I took"

the irony of imperial scholasticide is that they’ll bomb your schools, universities, & libraries— the very existence of which demonstrates that there was, in fact, a vibrant intellectual culture & community—& then insist on calling you uneducated barbarians.
