@PogTerraria@FatherKhan@ShitpostRock Hm weird... I have no problem with mixed fabrics, nor with shellfish. Odd that I don't believe it a moral good to pray or go to church... Curious.
Also odd how other parts of the world developed their own sense of "killing is bad" and "perhaps stealing is kinda not cool", ect
@PogTerraria@FatherKhan@ShitpostRock Are you "good" because you believe in your morals? Or is the only thing keeping you from not doing "good", the threat of eternal damnation?
If you only do "good" for reward, or for fear of punishment, you're a far worse person than someone who does "good" because they mean it.
@PogTerraria@FatherKhan@ShitpostRock The reason the word good is in quotation marks is because the exact definition does not matter. In your opinion of what "good" means, or in mine, my statement is unchanged.
@41stmillennium@JaneJt12345@JohnTitorVT Like, sure, carrying the industry means they can resupply easier, but it's only a detriment in battle. Less maneuverability, less ammo, ect. It's not like they can just dip out and gather some tungsten should they run out of Mac rounds. Carry more, and let supply ships supply.
@41stmillennium@JaneJt12345@JohnTitorVT Whether it's better in space or on the ground is irrelevant. A warship would not be carrying so much industry. A space station perhaps, but why on earth would a warship weigh itself down with all the facilities to make armaments and ammo, rather than just carrying more?
@JaneJt12345@41stmillennium@JohnTitorVT It'd make more sense for down to be towards the rear, and to explain it by saying the engines must be running to induce Artificial gravity. But then they'd be limited in their maneuverability by how much downwards force the crew can take.
I know I am 100% overthinking this lmao
@JaneJt12345@41stmillennium@JohnTitorVT I'm not saying that you're wrong, but that that explanation in the books wouldn't make sense for say, the POA, as down is always the same direction. The ship would need to spin around a point far 'above' the ship to have consistent gravity.
@JaneJt12345@41stmillennium@JohnTitorVT Ohh!! Yeah, and the only UNSC artificial gravity we do see, iirc, is
A: only seen in Navy ships in-game, and
B: never explained or elaborated on, even in books
Do correct me if I'm wrong though
@PogTerraria@FatherKhan@ShitpostRock Yes. A person being "good" because that's just who they are is infinitely better than someone who is "good", just because they want to see the pearly gates
@41stmillennium@JohnTitorVT ...out of them. Also, do you think that they're also breeding endless soldiers, and making all the armaments for them? Or would they perhaps only have so many troops who have their own equipment.
Also I have no idea what you're even trying to say with your last sentence.
@41stmillennium@JohnTitorVT Dude, gameplay mechanics aren't lore. The Spartans in HW should not have shields, as they wear MK IV. Spartan armour is not made on the ship. At best, it's repaired. In HW1, we see D20 Herons dropping the FOBs. The reason this changes in HW2 is because the spirit is running...
