The whisper campaigns against Josh Shapiro have dark undertones. Breaking News: He’s Jewish. But just as Thatcher was identified as a game-changing force in politics instead of a woman, Josh Shapiro’s strengths and talents would easily transcend bigotry and identity politics.
If you want the 10 commandments displayed in school…
…but then vote for the presidential candidate who has lied, stolen, committed adultery, and beared false witnesses, you are a hypocrite.
#HPV Vaccines Prevent Cancer in Men as Well as Women, New Research Suggests https://t.co/WbY35XhVFr by @CarlaKJohnson
"We think the maximum benefit from the vaccine will actually happen in the next two or three decades."

Devastating news about @JosTrust today. What amazing work they have done over the years. So grateful to them for all they have done to support women and people with a cervix & personally grateful and honoured to have had the chance to do some of my research with them.
I wasn't going to post about the invites I received to the UCP's vaccine misinformation jamboree.
But since MLA Bouchard's invite was little more than a dog whistle (see below👇) and ideological theatre, here is how I responded:
"Dear Mr. Bouchard,
I am, as you know, deeply disappointed that this event is occurring and has the support of the UCP. In this age of harmful misinformation, the government should strive to support science-informed analysis and public policy.
Unfortunately, this event appears to be focused on legitimizing harmful and demonstrably false claims about vaccines. Given the list of presenters – and the title, which implies a conclusion – this is not about examining the relevant body of evidence, open dialogue, and/or constructive debate on serious science issues. It is the propagation of false balance & fearmongering bothsidesism.
Also, several of the participants have regularly defamed me, questioned my integrity, spread lies about me and my work, and have called for my imprisonment.
So, no. Not attending."

Tonight, Jewish families around the world will begin the celebration of Passover with the traditional seder meal. Michelle and I loved the seders we held in the White House, and the story of Passover – with its focus on resilience, redemption, and renewal in the face of persecution and uncertainty. Today it rings even more true.
This Passover, let’s remember everyone who is unable to celebrate the holiday with their loved ones. And in a time when there’s been so much suffering and loss in Israel and Gaza, let’s reaffirm our commitment to the Jewish people, and people of all religions, who deserve to feel safe and secure wherever they live and practice their faith. Chag Sameach.
Holy moly! Republicans HATE this abortion ad, one of the most powerful ads ever made.

Trump facing a criminal trial on March 25 is significant. To understand, review the bidding.
First, before Trump was President, he hid his payments (the hush money) to avoid a criminal indictment then.
Second, he then became President, and said he couldn’t be indicted for his past crimes like the hush money while in office.
Third, he then committed more serious crimes in office (the Mueller report lists 10), and he said he couldn’t be prosecuted for his crimes as a sitting President while in office.
Fourth, he then got voted out of office, and so committed even more crimes to try to stay in office (the Jan. 6 charges, some of the most significant charges in the book), and said he couldn’t be prosecuted for them while he was still President.
Fifth, b/c he couldn't be prosecuted, Congress impeached him and he said he couldn’t be impeached because the only remedy was to prosecute him after he leaves office, not to impeach him.
Sixth, he then leaves office and he’s prosecuted (as per exactly what his lawyers said could happen to him), and he now says he can’t be prosecuted because he is absolutely immune from prosecution for acts while he was President.
Seventh, for crimes he committed when he was NOT President (like the New York ones), he is now saying he can’t be prosecuted for those either, b/c he’s he’s a candidate for President again (as his lawyer argued in court today).
And oh, eighth, he filed a brief in the US Supreme Court today saying because he was not impeached, he can't be convicted.
What is this? What Constitution on earth would permit this?
