@Carrie_Etter Also once did a reading where the only audience members were the other readers and half of them had left by the time the last poet got up. We'd all ploughed on because it was supposed to be recorded and made public later. (Un)fortunately the organiser forgot to press record.
@Carrie_Etter Once turned up at a reading only for several of the male audience members to be astonished I'd travelled un-chaperoned, then proceeded to make me feel very uncomfortable the whole time.

@clairecollison1 12pt, depending on font 11.5. Bleeding into margins can work. Also adjusting the kerning if the lines are just over. Flip poem landscape if you have to but the physical act of turning the book for the reader can disrupt the flow (could be useful, like a volta in the book, or not)
