Globe spider on a ring on our dock's support post. Looks like it's crossing a Dreamcatcher web. Filmed feeding fish today, and added my Blender-made 3D spider.
Before I started feeding the fish, a great blue heron appeared on the far side of my pond. It soon moved closer to observe the activity, and the video even hints that one fish was intently watching the bird. By the end of the clip, a red marker is visible beside the fish.
In professional school, I read 30 mins nightly. Loved Cussler’s Night Probe!—twists & history hooked me. Canadian snowbird neighbors made me think of its US-CA appeal. Pub. 1981.

On Christmas Eve, while on my back porch, I heard the sharp whistle of an eagle. Glancing toward the trees by our pond, I spotted it perched high, surveying its domain like a true king of the skies.
It was a moment of pure serenity—a gentle reminder of nature’s quiet beauty.
The Florida Softshell Turtle (Apalone ferox) rarely appears when I feed the fish. He acts shy and always keeps a wide berth. He seems to be a powerful swimmer, and he's a pleasure to observe when he allows it.
