@destroyerdude8@Odin_Highwind I am more of a Tekken player than a VF player actually. I also am more into SC than VF too. Either way, I think you're incorrect
Failed evade. Success Evade. Reverse crouch dash. Backturned reverse crouchdash. Sideturned framedata. EDC OS. ECDC OS. LTE. Damage thresholds (I think). Damage priority. The list goes on and on.
I don't mean to enter the Tekken vs VF debate, but this is just a wild take.
Give me a gameplay mechanic in VF thats impossible to translate in Tekken terms/understanding
I'll give you 30 dollars cash app right now if you can do it
Hmm... I think some of the terminology he used might be confusing you. Throws in VF do not ever counterhit strikes, even if its on the first frame. Sidewall stagger flat out does not exist in Tekken. Crouch hit states exist, but they are much less fleshed out and very rare. Wall slumps sort of exist in Tekken 8 specifically, but they are more just low on the wall wall vs high wall than a separate state like they are in VF.
Even when similar mechanics on a fundamental level exist, he labels them different because they function in a completely separate way in VF compared to Tekken.
@CDDTReborn@endothepunisher Funnily enough, I think that definitely isn't true. Advanced Tekken players are true students of their own game. They have an in-depth understanding of their own game on both a factual level and a conceptual level that only select few VF players can match, especially in the west.
@Phantom46137464@signiahakkar@oBLACKSTARo I'm always open to discussion with those willing to be open minded. Give me a mechanic/set of mechanics and I'll explain the fundamental differences once I have more time. Or maybe Signia can in my place.
@endothepunisher An argument can definitely be made that Tekken is the hardest 3D fighter, particularly if you look back at past installments. I won't fault anyone for saying that. What I will fault is when people try to say that every other 3D game isn't deep/hard in their own rights.
@CALL_ME_FEELS@TommyKairaTK So did I. Tekken used to be my main game before 8 lol. He's definitely not wrong about there being some similarities, but the games are just as similar as they are different if you take the time to dive into each.
@Rikuto_Kuronaga Honestly, more crossover between the series would be really cool. It'd be nice to have the same sort of unity that SNK and SF have right now. Maybe like Hitomi and Rig show up in VF
@JuJu_Da_Gamer Literally impossible to. I don't even think saying VF is easier than Tekken is wild. I just think a lot of his assertions are wrong and he comes from a place of ignorance. Idk why people enjoy talking out of their ass so much on this app.
@TommyKairaTK Again a lot of this is just flat out wrong or incomplete, but I've been told you're only saying all this for engagement bait so I'll stop the argument here.
