While filming the 2004 movie 'The Passion Of The Christ' the actor playing Jesus, Jim Caviezel, was struck by lightning on the last shot of the movie.

He was also accidentally whipped twice, which has left a 14-inch scar on his back, and dislocated his shoulder from the weight of the 150lb (68kg) cross when it was dropped on him during the crucifixion and it actually lit his hair on fire.

The scenes of him hanging on the cross in the freezing Italian winter (25°F and 30-knot winds) caused him to contract hypothermia and pneumonia.
