@HieroMyk My posts here get far less likes than they used to, either due to the decrease in active accounts that follow me or due to the algorithm suppressing my posts
Been pruning my "Followed" list as I move to the Cerulean Heavens. Down from 500+ to 250. Starting with accounts that have moved there or are otherwise "dead". Hadn't realized how many accounts here that I'd followed over the last decade had stopped posting in the last 2-3 years
If you are moving over to Bluesky (as I plan to), you can now find Blue Book discussion with the Zenopus Archives over there. Link in the first comment below.
@LeroyD20 @DaddyRolleda1 More easy to avoid if you just use "J. Eric Holmes". Everyone will still know who you are talking about. All the way back to his youth, he went by Eric, so there's no harm in emphasizing that name over John.
@shapesandlines@Stephen37341154 Yes, I've never had anybody fail to solve it right away. Would be interesting to make it require Read Magic or Read Languages to give some uses to those spells.
Once entered, the doors to the room magically seal until the bronze mask on the wall has answered truthfully to anyone question.
You can only ask one question per day.
Once asked, the doors unlock.
What did they ask? ...how do we get out of the room. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@shapesandlines@Stephen37341154 The original version by Holmes doesn't have locking doors in this room. There's just a riddle to solve to learn how to activate the mask to answer a question about the dungeon. But the locking doors are certainly an interesting twist!
FYI, the Making of OD&D is currently on sale on Amazon for $49.99 (half-off the cover price); lowest price I've seen yet. Find the link in the first comment below.
