You keep the timeline moving. You quote-tweet a screenshot of a chart you didn’t read. You hit repost on a thread that says nothing except “this is huge” and a blurry logo. You drop “gm” under a project that launched last Tuesday and already has three different names.

That is the work. That is the product. Attention.👏

The people who know how to extract are not confused. They are not “building.” They are watching you argue in the replies about whether this one is “different.” (Spoiler: It's not)

They are watching you ape because a guy with a frog PFP said “don’t fade this.” They are watching the volume spike for 19 minutes and then they leave.

You call it community. It's really a waiting room with a buy button.

It is the whole design. Something looks like it is moving, so you move. You do not check the contract. You do not look at who can mint. You do not ask why the “team” only posts at 2 a.m. with the same three buzzwords.

You just feel late. Late is the exploit. Late makes you pay the exit liquidity tax with a smile.

Then it rugs. Of course it rugs. The chart looks like every other chart that rugged last month. Same candle. Same Telegram. Same “we’re locking liquidity soon.” You still bought it. Then you post the loss like it is content. Then you do it again.

That is the loop. Repost a nothing. Feel urgency. Spend on the obvious trap. Generate the screenshot. Repeat.

Keep going. The extractors need the noise. They need the people who treat a timeline like a slot machine and a whitepaper like a vibe. They need you to stay just informed enough to click, and just proud enough to pretend this is participation.

A couple weeks ago I decided when someone RPs a post just based on the account—not reading or caring what it says—it’s called a 𝑆𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑡.

This and everything Doc lays out play a significant role in why rug pulls still happen so often—by the same types of people. Hell, the same few people habitually in some cases.

If bad behavior gets rewarded, it will continue and escalate.

Be considerate to provide real value and therefore have truly earned compensation.
[I also think Grok will be involved in rewarding truth-maximizing creators within a year.]

Slingshots here lead to “Grift n Lift,” not “Shake n Bake”; this is a PSA calling for all to refrain. Slingshots often snapback in one’s own face, too.

Reminder:

“It’s for your safety” is the most insidiously lethal phrase you’ll hear from corporatists and government officials.
