@tangming2005 Thanks for sharing it! For anyone curious, tgv is a hobby project and is at a very, very early stage, so expect bugs. Please don't rely on it for your papers (yet) :)
Contibution and bug reports are welcome!
Finally, I can make sure I'm a human, not a rat!
๐งฌ tgv: Terminal Genome Viewer
๐ Explore human genomes in the terminal.
๐ Supports multiple formats, Vim motions & more!

I built a genome viewer in the terminal! Light, blazing fast ๐, vim-motion, written in #rust https://t.co/sXvSTyaiKq
I'm also looking for open contributions! There is so much I wanna build. The goal is to make TGV as powerful as IGV one day.

I'm hiring for a graduate-level computational biology intern! In this 10-week program, you would work with a brilliant team and explore cutting-edge cancer research with NGS data.
Undergraduates with research experience are welcome!

I look forward to future efforts in microbial phenotyping and statistical methods in studying microbes and microbial communities! Also see @SeppeKuehnLab 's thread for a paper summary https://t.co/rlKXeiSM6t
I'm super excited to share that my PhD paper is now published in @PLOSCompBiol ! This achievement wouldn't have been possible without @SeppeKuehnLab 's guidance, Ahmed Selim's exceptional pilot work, and insightful discussions with mentors and peers. 1/n

I'm so proud of the tremendous effort poured into the paper, leading to a seamless peer-review process (including this reviewer comment: "It is quite a rare case that I am not making any suggestions to improve the paper. It is quite a polished manuscript ready for publication.")
Iโm thrilled to announce my next journey after graduate school: Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at @BillionToOneInc ! I look forward to working with the amazing oncology team to drive innovation in the next generation of cancer diagnosis.
So excited to see this work out! We delved into the challenge of predicting complex traits from genomes. Inspired by @KarnaVGowda's success in denitrification, we approached the problem statistically. We found success early on, but the story went way deeper than we thought. A ๐งต:
Kyle's paper is out! @kcrocker_qbio and @KarnaVGowda connect global patterns in the soil to lab experiments. I made a contribution: using a comparative study of gene co-evolution in a large genome collection, I showed the same pattern in a third context: the full tree of life.
