Ahead of the Metro 2039 world premiere reveal this Thursday at series author Dmitry Glukhovsky said that:

The new game will be darker than anything we have seen before in the Metro series.

-Metro 2033 was underground survival horror.
-Last Light added difficult moral decisions. -Exodus took the story to the post-apocalyptic surface.

Glukhovsky, the man who created the original novels, now says 4A Games is going even deeper into fear, mutants, radiation, and humanity’s darkest sides.
