To my fellow Latter Day Saints in Pocatello, Idaho Falls, Preston, Rexburg, Soda Springs, Paris, and other heavily LDS communities in the state of Idaho…

On September 28, 2025, the day after Russell M. Nelson died, a crazed anti Mormon nut job stormed an LDS meetinghouse and brutally slaughtered 4 people, injured 8, and set the building on fire. It was the deadliest attack on the Mormon faith since Haun’s Mill.

But when President Trump expressed condolences to the victims, Mark Fitzpatrick found it more offensive that the president had called Mormons Christians than the actual massacre, and took to X to not only correct him, but also insist he never do it again.

Ask yourself, if this hadn’t happened in Michigan…

If this had happened in Pocatello or Idaho Falls…

If this had happened in Rexburg, or Soda Springs, or Preston…

If this had happened in any chapel in Idaho, can you honestly say that you would want your governor saying these things about you while the police were still putting out the fire? While families were still trying to find if their loved ones were dead or not? While bodies were still bleeding on the floor?

Because that’s what Mark Fitzpatrick did.

And he did it because he hates you. He hates you because you are Mormon. And he thinks you being called Christian is more offensive than you being murdered for your faith.

Think about that when you vote today.

Should a person who hates you this much get your vote?
