Over the last week, Killian and I threw together another #GMTK26 Game Jam game: Count Knight!
Play as Dracula's head knight, D, and vanquish the evil vampire hunter Van Helsing!
D's strength is constantly being weakened over time, so you must act fast!

@Avarith_grey@MisterVerienn@ElectrifiedMoss Ehhhhhh
I definitely see the ire being earned by the usual "better than Pokémon" agenda crowd being loud as usual when it comes to a newer tamer game of the month.
Not helped by PW being aesthetically derivative as a feature, not a bug.
@MisterVerienn@ElectrifiedMoss Idk dawg I've seen far too many Palworldians be unable to keep Pokémon out of their mouths, but given this is Twitter, a cycle of discourse is being perpetuated on purpose by the algorithm tbh.
@MisterVerienn@ElectrifiedMoss Fair, but for the last point that's a bit of turnabout being fair play.
You can't really throw shit at Pokémon fans and then not expect then fire back with the obvious low hanging fruit imaginable.
@ElectrifiedMoss There's nothing really wrong with it morally or legally (as Nintendo found out/knew lol) , but let's not really kid of ourselves.
You can "better than modern Pokémon" agenda post without being deliberately obtuse about it.
@ElectrifiedMoss Gonna be honest, idk why Palworld fans get so mad when you point how high-key "serial numbers filed off" a lot of the designs get, when I remember pre-Early Access launch even it was clear their main idea was riffing on Pokémon in a "black comedy" kinda way.
★★★ NEW REMIX ★★★
My latest entry in the no console limitations series premieres in 15 minutes from now!
Had lots of fun working on this one, hope you guys enjoy it just as much ☺
@inkblotPrincess I also think people oversell how tolerable/easy being a potato spec "if it runs, you can play it" gamer is to people, bc "playable" means so many different things depending on the person.
@inkblotPrincess I think the important bit about b is that the word "can" is going a lot of heavy lifting here, bc most of the games people are "larping" about are stuff that came out recently and not (at this point) 20-30 years ago and can run mostly fine depending on the system.
Tomorrow is the 1st anniversary for Fish Sword : Pier Breaker~
It's a small little fishing + beat 'em up game where you fish up giant monster fish and catch as many as possible
