Stephen Fry: “I’m deeply worried by the darkening shadow that’s going over the world, a shadow that we have to call fascism”
Laura Kuenssberg: “You would use that word?”
Stephen Fry: “Oh absolutely. It’s a cult of power; and power only speaks to power”

Absolutely embarrassing from Tory MP Julia Lopez (who the Tories keep trotting out) - unless it’s conservative ideology she genuinely hasn’t got a clue because the Tories have nothing but attack the poor

Royal Mail should be back in public hands.
After years of missed delivery targets, Royal Mail has proven it can’t be run effectively by the private sector.
That’s why I’ve called on the Government to renationalise it.
If we fail to act, we risk losing Royal Mail for good.
Carole Malone does that incredibly arrogant/idiotic thing of insisting her figures are always correct but dismisses, out of hand, any figures that run counter to her narrative

its actually quite refreshing to have a PM whose embarrassing history involves raising money for charity, rather than burning £50 notes in front of homeless people and shagging pigs...
Brexit supporter & HoL member, Ian Botham on Sky News…
Do you think Brexit is working?
“I don’t know enough if I’m truthful about it. I voted for Brexit & still would have it. We need to get our independence. No one has ever conquered this country so let’s keep it that way”
On every topic thus far, Tory MP Bernard Jenkin has been either completely wrong or increasingly hysterical
He *kinda* used to be on the more ‘sensible’ side of the Tories but now acts like an out of touch Tory stereotype

Tory MP Bernard Jenkin sounding completely out of touch
Which is exactly why his party won’t be anywhere near power for a generation (though ideally never)

“We are broke as a country” says Reform’s Robert Jenrick who played a leading role in breaking the country via 14 years of Tory mismanagement

This is a total betrayal of Brexit Britain and his Makerfield pitch.
He is also deluded to say immigration was different when we were members of the EU.
We will fight this dishonesty.
Yeah, let’s resist rejoining the largest trading bloc on the fucking planet because a few dozen people are kicking off on a street somewhere in northern Italy
‘Very wealthy man abandons country that gave him opportunity to make millions for fear of being asked to pay fractionally more tax to improve things for everyone’
