I am an owner of a 2018 Model X, and I am highly disappointed, upset, angry, and frustrated, as I planned to purchase a 2026 Model X before they were phased out. I specified the build of the vehicle, put my deposit down in March, received a Reservation Number, and waited for my VIN to be issued. In the meantime, I placed for sale my current Tesla, knowing I had this on order. After not receiving a VIN in a reasonable time, I began to check frequently the status of my order, making certain my order was secure and would be fulfilled. I was told not to worry, that I had an RN, and all was good. My order was for the Model X Plaid, Red Exterior/White Interior, Yoke Steering Wheel, 22" wheels, Luxe Package included.

Well, I never received a VIN, and then over the weekend I noticed I'd received a message in the app that my order had been CANCELLED! I feel totally betrayed by Tesla! I'm not interested in the CyberTruck, 3 or Y, love the Roadster but it's too small.

This was probably going to be the last vehicle I buy, as I wanted the Autopilot/Free Supercharging/New Vehicle Warranty benefits.

I've checked new inventory- none are available. I would prefer not to have a pre-owned on, as the available ones are 3 years old with 40+ thousand miles.

I am hoping this was a mistake, and can be corrected. I know Elon is retooling for the robots, but I really feel like I got shafted, especially since I'm a huge supporter of Tesla products, own Tesla and SpaceX Stock, and was an early adopter of this technology.

Can you see what can be done about this please, or escalate this up the chain to help me rectify this situation?

I placed a reservation for a Model X before the announced deadline at the end of March 2026 and have checked on the status of my order almost weekly. Each time, I was reassured that my reservation remained active and that my build was still on track.
Today, I received a message in the Tesla app informing me that my order has been canceled.
What can I do about this? More importantly, what can Tesla do to make this right?
After receiving the cancellation notice, I immediately checked existing inventory and found that Model X inventory appears to be completely sold out. I also looked at the Model S, and it appears to be sold out as well. I cannot adequately express how disappointed, frustrated, and angry I am right now.
I am hoping this is simply an error and that my vehicle can still be built according to the specifications I originally ordered. I’ve been an early adopter of Tesla technology, a strong supporter of the ecosystem, and a shareholder in the company. Given the repeated assurances that my order was secure, having it canceled without warning is incredibly discouraging.
I would greatly appreciate any help in resolving this situation.
