Here’s the change behind those numbers in Zexir Site:

• Stream uploads to disk.
• Store media in chunks.
• Pass a file reference through edits, saved versions and publishing.
• Stream the bytes again when exporting or serving the file.

The saved repository response in that test was 717 bytes. Editing the page didn’t require resending its video.

If your app keeps hitting memory limits, check whether the same binary file is getting expanded and copied through every step.

Measured with tracemalloc in a local SQLite regression test; these numbers are not total process RAM or a production speed benchmark.
