先ほど防衛大学校で緊急記者会見を行いました。

本日13時24分ごろ、北朝鮮から弾道ミサイルの可能性があるものが発射されました。
既に落下しており、落下場所は我が国EEZ外です。更なる詳細については、現在分析中です。
総理からは
①情報収集・分析に全力を挙げ、国民に対して、迅速・適格な情報提供を行うこと
②航空機、船舶等の安全確認を徹底すること③不測の事態に備え、万全の態勢をとることの指示がありました。
これを受けて、私（防衛大臣）から、秘書官を通じて、
・米国、韓国等と緊密に連携しつつ、情報収集・分析に全力を挙げること
・不測の事態の発生に備え、引き続き戒監視に万全を期すこと
以上の指示を出したところです。
防衛省としても、関連情報の収集と分析に努め、緊張感をもって警戒監視等の対応に万全を期しているところです。

🇺🇸🇮🇷 BREAKING | The Pentagon is moving a Marine expeditionary unit to the Middle East as Iran steps up attacks on the Strait of Hormuz, according to two US officials.

U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has approved a request from Central Command for the unit, typically consisting of up to 2,500 Marines.

The move comes as Iranian strikes on the strait have paralysed traffic through the strategic waterway, disrupting the global economy and driving up gas prices.
