@dailythunder Mark has to be held accountable for Dieng's failure in OKC. And this is why we don't need a big size wing, Mark just does not know how to use them.
One nuance I think SGA should get bonus credit for is your part about main engine/touches per game. We see so much with those other guys that there is a considerable dropoff when they leave the floor, creating eye-catching on/off numbers. That’s an easy thing to frame for MVP — “his team sucks when he’s not playing!” — but with SGA his team plays well without him, because he is far less heliocentric. His team produces at an insane level with him, and at a very solid level without him.
It’s a hard thing to really quantify and a very nuanced thing, but I think it’s a plus on SGA’s value to the team at large. And a reason we see so much player development in OKC with an MVP caliber player. Players can develop alongside him because he isn’t directly tied to their production in the way Jokic/Luka are.
If this makes sense at all.
