I'm deeply alarmed by the renewed escalation in the Middle East.
All attacks must stop immediately.
The ceasefires in Lebanon, Iran & Gaza must be fully respected.
Any steps that could undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts must be avoided.
I'm also deeply concerned by Israel's decision to close crossings into Gaza & reiterate my call for the immediate reopening of all crossings to ensure the rapid, safe & unhindered passage of humanitarian assistance at scale throughout Gaza.
The exercise of navigational rights & freedoms, in accordance with international law, must be respected.
Everyone must uphold their obligations under international law & take all feasible precautions to protect civilians.
There is no military solution to the conflicts in the Middle East.
The only way forward is through dialogue & negotiations.
I urge all concerned to work towards diplomatic solutions that advance regional & international peace & security.
Without Democrat cooperation, the Section 702 program will go dark in four days.
America’s enemies, however, will not go dark.
I hope my Democrat colleagues will rethink their decision to hold the program hostage before we all have cause to regret the consequences.
As long as Republicans are in charge, there will be agents at our borders to prevent terrorists, traffickers, and other dangerous individuals from making their way into our country, and there will be agents to take criminal illegal immigrants off our streets.
I wish I could say the same of my Democrat colleagues.
The biggest story in America is a president who has completely lost touch with reality. Who thinks the FBI let all the January 6 rioters into the Capitol, that he really won the 2020 election, that the Iran War is going well. Who, when occasionally confronted w reality, panics.
This interview hurt my soul. The mistreatment of black women and journalists by this President is down right embarrassing and unacceptable. Kristin Welker is neither crooked or stupid. She is a history making journalist who has earned the right to be respected. The President should apologize immediately.
That is some wild, unhinged stuff from the President.
Welker is a good person and honest journalist and didn’t deserve that but more importantly we have a president who constantly pushes conspiracy theories with zero evidence and can’t respond when politely challenged on that.
I didn't know @nytimes was a gossip rag now. They hyped up this bullshit story against @grahamformaine and then delivered rumors from a relationship when he was in his 20's. They only found one who alleged anything. It was uncorroborated and she's a GOP operative. Come on.
So, what was this explosive allegation? He supposedly grabbed her shoulders and that the relationship was "emotionally wrenching." Wow. Has anyone gone through life without having an emotionally wrenching relationship? This is exactly what a smear job looks like.
Genuinely asking, if someone happens to have the answer.
What is the goal of these robocalls? Below is just one of hundreds of screenshots I could show of missed “potential spam” calls every day.
Obviously they’re automated, so it’s virtually effortless for the “caller,” but why persist?
If there’s no answer by the callee and no callback from the callee, why keep doing it. I mean for months and months? Thinking they’ll break us down and we’ll finally call them back and sign up to their scam, in hopes it will stop the calls?
If that’s the case, it should be in the pitch: “Good evening. This is Charles calling about your spam calling stoppage fee. Act now to have us stop calling you. Operators are standing by to discuss spam call stoppage rates. Call today!”
If anyone has any real insight, make a comment. I’m genuinely curious.
Today, I cast my 10,000th consecutive roll call vote, extending the unbroken voting streak that I have maintained throughout my entire Senate service.
Mainers are known for their work ethic, and they deserve a Senator who works just as hard for them. Growing up in Aroostook County, I learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and honoring your commitments. I am proud to bring those values with me to the Senate every day.
Representing the State of Maine is the honor of a lifetime, and I will continue to serve with the diligence and responsibility that Mainers deserve.
I’m truly angry that our Republican Senate majority is incapable &/or unwilling to pass the SAVE America Act.
So, I’m going to turn my anger into organized action.
See you this SATURDAY, Arizona!

BREAKING: Four Senate Republicans just joined Democrats to block one of President Trump’s key legislative priorities.
In a setback for the White House, GOP Sens. Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Thom Tillis and Mitch McConnell broke with their party to help stop the SAVE America Act from advancing in the Senate.
The vote exposed a familiar divide inside the Republican conference, with concerns over the bill’s provisions outweighing pressure from Trump and GOP leadership.
