If it was launched on RISE, $ANSEM might not have pumped to over 400m however it wouldn't fall below 55% of whatever ATH it reached either......like NEVER
The underlying tech powering RDR has helped them build speculative assets like none other. Assets with assured value.
At Keel, we kinda reverse-engineered the same tech to design a protective infrastructure for your betting/prediction/trading apps 😉
Watching @standard_rsv do it's thing is quite beautiful.
While I am still waiting for token incentives/utility within the economy as promised by @0xbeans, it's nice to see how the system is autonomously making the decisions and executing smartly
First thing to notice is that additional 121 tokens will be distributed this epoch NOT from rate raise (you need 2 consecutive +ve epoch for that) but from resolution fee (50% of the fee from the 1 Charter that was burned in day 1)
The 2nd interesting thing is the ongoing buyback from the contraction vault. I am surprised to see that happening this early in this epoch but I guess they are able to use it because it's from the genesis protocol earning distribution (mint earnings) rather than pure protocol fees. 6.38E out of the 111.728E (0.2% of the pool reserve) is being used to BB and burn $STANDARD every hour. It should be exhausted within the next 17hrs UNLESS they are planning to halt that activity once the netflow turns +ve (interesting to know that these BBs are also depositing ETH into the market which will ultimately influence the netflow
Finally, much lower interest in expansion licenses (4/100 auctioned as I write this) as we head towards a potential contraction period. The expansion vault has also been credited and currently sits at ~$4.6m in ETH while protocol fees for this epoch has already hit $20k
Looking forward to the next days and weeks. So far so good 😁
Since @standard_rsv's successful launch, there has been one big question on everyone's lips;
WHY WOULD ANYONE BUY THE TOKEN?
First, if you understand game theories, this is a valid and really important question. Standard reserve is NOTHING without trading activity especially bids.
No bids > no +ve netflow > no expansion > no issuance > no need to hold a Charter
So, it's not wrong to say that buyers are the ones who kickstart this flywheel and feed the Charter holders who do practically nothing but just hold and earn emissions triggered by buyers' +ve net spend.
The next reasonable question should then be;
HOW DOES CHARTER HOLDERS BENEFIT TOKEN HOLDERS (in return)?
Someone who actually read the WP might rush to say that they burn $STANDARD to gain expansion license (more branches) but while that is true, they don't necessarily need external buy pressure to do that since they can use accumulated tokens within existing branch to bid in branch auctions. So again, they don't contribute much to this economy especially if they are content with their single branch.
Now WHAT THEN?
I think for this economy to thrive and be sustainable, every participant should actively benefit each other. While I believe @0xbeans already cooked something, one idea that comes to mind is what I call CHARTER SHARED OWNERSHIP (CSO) (just a fancy name init lol) aka CHARTER PARTIAL LENDING that allows token holders to pool tokens, bid for branche(s) as if it's being done by a holder and then share whatever tokens distributed pro rata with ofcourse the Charter owner keeping some % of the issuance in the form of borrowing interest. Charter holder gets to earn more tokens without any expense while token holders can finally participate without owning a Charter. Win-Win 🤗
Tbh Idek if this is possible or makes any sense but yea, it's always nice to share my thoughts on these experiments cause they're fun to thinker on 😁
The Standard Reserve will launch in 2 days, on 9/14.
A significant portion of spots have been left unallocated for public participation.
