ZIMSEC has announced the release of the 2024 Ordinary level Results. The 2024 national pass rate is 33.19% as compared to 29.41 in 2023. This marks a percentage increase of 3.78 in the national pass rate. Results are accessible online at https://t.co/bvzf3iDZDz.

The Zimsec Board has been inducted by the Corporate Governance Unit in the Office of the President and Cabinet led by Secretary (Head) CGU Mr. Allen M Choruma. Emphasis was put on their oversight role focusing on strategy, performance and value creation in a sustainable manner.

The Honourable Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Torerai Moyo appointed a new Zimsec Board as at the 1st of July 2024. The new Board is headed by Prof. Paul Mapfumo, VC University of Zimbabwe. Board Vice Chair is Prof. Doreen Zandile Moyo, VC Gwanda State University.

The total number of candidates who sat for the June 2024 Advanced level exams was 120. Of these, 52 candidates wrote two or more subjects and 38 obtained Grade E or better in two or more subjects. This translates to an overall pass rate of 31.67%.

The total number of candidates who sat for 5 or more subjects in the June Ordinary level 2024 exams was 383 which is 1.27% of the total candidature of 30 088. The remainder, sat for less than 5 subjects. 17 candidates passed with a Grace C or better. Overall pass rate is 4.44%
