Blacks need game changing ‘good debt.’ Yes — good debt. There is a difference.
Only one fifth of blacks have mortgage debt today (thus a home that they own), while half of white Americans have mortgage debt.
If we can’t qualify, then we can’t access, and we can’t own.
@APoshAriesDiva @rolandsmartin Respectfully this is just not true. Thats like saying the billionaire is only a billionaire if their companies have no debt — which they DO. This is the POINT. You must use GOOD debt, responsibly, to come up.
@manemaine1@rolandsmartin Access to good debt can be solved by simply getting our credit scores above 700. But — and please read this slowly also — 41% of African-Americans have a credit score BELOW 620.
