@milehigh_mike82 You end up having to go a ways just to do some easy cruising or practice maneuvers. And like you said, it does add up. The good part is that there are a ton of fun, small airports within a small radius.

@milehigh_mike82 Sounds like you are somewhere with wide open spaces--jealous! My home airport is in the DC Special Flight Rules Area. Between those extra restrictions, the DC FRZ to the south, and the Baltimore class B to the north, it can get a little complicated.

@milehigh_mike82 @dumbdragoncast Took me forever to get my license because scheduling is hard and weather in the mid-Atlantic is a beast. I'm so glad the D&D learning curve is less steep (and way less expensive)!
