@letmepickthat Oh I had no idea they moved onto HtK. Hopefully they try to learn from the mistakes of the MSE and focus on the sensor issues compared to any kinematic limitations. The primary reason for PAC-3MSE missies is late launches and poor tracking quality.

These seem to be warheads of a ballistic missile being intercepted denoted by the sparks and different intercept explosions.

They are operating in extremely short engagement windows where the moment of unearthing or bringing a missile out of hiding to shooting it is only in minutes. The US only has so many sensors over Iran. To monitor each inch of land is impossible.
