Class consciousness is not telling people to vote for the blue or red ruling class parties.
It is educating people that both parties serve the billionaire class, which is why workers need to build our own power to fight back.
The county’s economy is still characterised by oligopolies, which is a few companies owned by a few white people dominating over 90% of the market share in all industries.
This structure keeps the economy in very few hands, constrains competition and economic growth.

13 Suspects in R1 Billion Drug Lab Case Appear in Court, Bail Hearing Set for June 12
Thirteen suspects accused of operating a clandestine drug laboratory worth an estimated R1 billion appeared in the Swartruggens Magistrate’s Court in the North West today.
The accused, who face charges including drug manufacturing, illegal possession of hazardous chemicals and contravention of immigration laws, were remanded in custody after the matter was postponed to 12 June for bail applications.
The arrests follow a major Hawks-led operation in which large quantities of methamphetamine, chemicals and manufacturing equipment were seized.

FOUR MONTH BABY ALLEGEDLY WAS KIDNAPPED IN PONGOLA.
A 4-month-old baby girl was allegedly kidnapped in Pongola at Ncotshane B Section on Wednesday evening.
According to reports, a woman wearing a scarf over her face arrived at the family’s home pretending to need help from the baby’s father, who is said to be a traditional healer. She claimed someone in Mqhashweni was seriously ill, and the father quickly left with her to assist.
While they were walking, the woman allegedly disappeared after stopping along the way. When the father returned home, he found the baby’s mother crying after an unknown man had reportedly entered the house, threatened her, and taken the baby.
The child is still missing, and the matter has been reported to police. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
