🇺🇦💪This was Bohdan Hladkykh, the head of Kharkiv's Emergency Response Department. They say he is always among the first to arrive at the scene of missile strikes.

But that does not diminish the work of frontline patrol officers, especially the local police.

The praise below is for Mr. Hladkykh.

This patrol officer is trying to contain a fire at a gas station following a Russian strike in Kharkiv. Watch his actions carefully. He runs in, grabs a fire extinguisher, and starts putting out the flames—without panic. When the first extinguisher runs out, he immediately runs for another. He knows exactly where it is because he's local and remembers the station well. He chooses the right type of extinguisher and manages to contain the fire at the fuel pump before firefighters arrive.

Who knows what could have happened if the flames had spread further.

This is what frontline policing looks like: taking responsibility and acting without hesitation.
