South Africa have made history and become the First Ever African country to Qualify to the Round of 32 without the support of other African countries 😭🥳💃🏼🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦💃🏼💃🏼🥳💃🏼🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
You are spot on @JacintaNgobese. Was as flabbergasted watching the acting Minister making the threats. The millions of rands secured to police the March could have been used to hire buses for all the illegal foreigners and seek refund after.
Let me educate you not with anger, but with truth. You assume South Africans lack exposure. You assume we believe other African countries are poor and undeveloped. That is not the case. We know the reality. We know Nigeria has oil. We know Ghana has gold. We know Kenya has tech. We know Botswana has diamonds. We know Zambia has copper. We know Zimbabwe has platinum and lithium. We know the DRC sits on $24 trillion in minerals. We know Africa is rich.
But here is what you do not understand, wealth beneath the ground does not translate to prosperity above it. You can have all the minerals in the world but if your leaders steal, your constitutions hostile towards humans rights, if your institutions are corrupt, if your people are divided by tribe, if your healthcare collapses, if your schools crumble, if your youth flee then you are poor. Not in resources. In governance. In accountability. In dignity.
We do not look down on Africa. We look at the mirror Africa refuses to face. We see our own flaws corruption, unemployment, crime and we fight them. We protest. We vote. We demand better. That is what makes us different. We do not run. We stay. We build. We hold our leaders accountable, even when it hurts.
You say we lack exposure. But we see you. We see your leaders flying overseas to get treated, some in our country to get medical treatment, while your children starve. We see your ports exporting raw minerals while your people have no jobs. We are not blind. We are not ignorant. We are honest.
The difference between South Africa and many other African countries is not wealth. It is the willingness to confront failure. We own ours. You run from yours. That is not a lack of exposure. That is a lack of accountability. And until you fix that, no mineral, no resource, no tweet will save you. Go home. Fix your house. Then talk to us about exposure.
Since it's youth day...thought I should share that we will be running an initiative where we teach(online) High School mathematics during the school holidays.
If you have a kid in High School, please register them via this link: https://t.co/2zagEuGvRh

@ParliamentofRSA has reopened public submissions on the Constitution review.
SACR is collecting inputs via our Google Form to ensure public voices are included.
While legal opinions are still being considered on the previous process (which we are reviewing for possible legal action), we won’t sit on the sidelines. we will continue engaging and participating actively.

Growing up in South Africa, coding always felt like it belonged to someone else's language.
So I built my own.
Introducing CMT-IsiZulu — write Python code in isiZulu South African can now write codes in their home language

Well, @ParliamentofRSA has once again called for public inputs on possible constitutional amendments.
For those who may not know, the Constitution itself allows for amendments through Section 74. In other words, the Constitution was designed to be amended where Parliament and the people believe change is necessary.
Parliament is currently receiving legal opinions on submissions made during the previous Constitutional Review process, including SACR's submission. We therefore hope Parliament will also provide South Africans with feedback on the outcome of that process and explain how those submissions were considered.
As we did before, we the people of South Africa will once again make our voices heard by participating in this process.
I will share the submission link and further details soon.
Public participation should not end when submissions are sent. Citizens deserve to know what happens next.

Today, we unveil the official SACR logo.
More than a logo, it is a symbol of a growing citizen-led movement committed to accountability, public participation, and ensuring that the voice of ordinary South Africans is heard.
The hand, formed from the colours of our national flag, represents the people of South Africa. It reflects our belief that the Constitution belongs to the people and that citizens must remain at the centre of shaping our country’s future.
We invite every South African who shares these values to stand with us and make this symbol their own.
Reclaiming the Voice of the People.

This immigration issue has exposed so many people who are just educated but are far far from being learned. Who would’ve thought that going to school would result in people who think they went there just so they can be beyond reproach? People who are Intransigent and who tell people that their thoughts are superior because they used to excel in school making them semi-deity’s.
These ppl think they are beyond being taught by an ordinary person just because they see themselves as far more educated than anyone, resulting in them dismissing and downplaying peoples lived experiences that also have nothing to do with their area of learning? People who aren’t even humble enough to admit they were wrong and take accountability , they just tell you they are educated and that’s it, It’s even worse when that person is supposed to be a leader but they are just immune to the reality of others.
It’s sad because the mere definition of education is descriptive of a process that is never ending…
