In my opinion, the SEC is the best conference in college basketball. So, I made my own “All SEC” team.

First, the starters.

G- Kennedy Chandler / Tennessee

G- JD Notae / Arkansas

G- TyTy Washington / Kentucky

F- Jabari Smith / Auburn

C- Oscar Tshiebwe / Kentucky

It’s never too early, in my opinion!

XAVIER- Sean Miller

GRADE- A-

The only thing keeping this from being an A+ hire is the baggage Miller brings. An excellent hire from Xavier.

RATING COACHING HIRES:

FLORIDA- Todd Golden.

GRADE- C+

Golden is high ceiling, low floor hire. He could be a home run hire, or he could also be a dud. I worry about his recruiting, as you do with most guys like him.

SETON HALL- Shaheen Holloway

GRADE- B+

The timing makes this hire. After leading Saint Peters to the Elite Eight, there was no hotter Coach on the market.

*early 🤦‍♂️

Working on grading coaching hires. As well as my way, way, way too late top 25 for next year.

VMI center Jake Stephens plans to enter the transfer portal, he told ESPN. Will be a graduate transfer. First-team All-SoCon selection. 19.6 PPG, 9.0 RPG, 3.3 APG — 6-foot-11 and shoots 49% from 3. Will be a highly sought-after transfer.

What a run from Kansas.

[Zipper Cut Hoops @ZipperCutHoops]

Definitely a controversial opinion, but I’m going to say it anyway:

Brandon Ingram > Anthony Davis

Very much deserved!
