Looking forward today to be contributing to @FutureWaterUCT's event later today. The topic: Bridging Waters: Creating new cultural norms that are built around thriving in relationship with our wider systems." https://t.co/URqmL58vyh
GDP not reliable and complete, AND it continues 'mind printing' humans to focus on putting extrinsic values (wealth and power) above compassionate / intrinsic values such as equity, justice, environment, wisdom, helpfulness -- all vital to help build community and resilience. https://t.co/dYXM7ss6cV
This weekend I am contributing a values and frames approach to the Cape Town Water Hackathon. Lots of enthusiastic participants here to work on solutions and shift us from a crisis paradigm to one of opportunity.
Now that Zuma has gone, Ramaphosa has his work cut out to shift SA's values pendulum from Zuma's highly extrinsic values focus (social power, wealth, authority, public image) to more intrinsic values (social justice, wisdom, honesty, the environment, equality.) #ValuesSA
Today participated in one of a series of workshops contributing to the development of a Resilience Strategy for the City of Cape Town — all part of the @100ResCities initiative. This initiative offers lots of potential to apply the Common Cause values and frames thinking.
Good positive framing of the water crisis. Ignore the blame-gaming and dooming-and-glooming. Instead up the positive framing, which in turn strengthens intrinsic values and thus societal collaboration to take constructive action.

Don't despair just yet about the state of humanity. We're undergoing massive transformation towards humanity's "better moral qualities". https://t.co/XfLU1IszqN
