I’ve been doing the #PSblackout for years. Hahaha. Haven’t played PlayStations since the 2. Sony’s been over-rated for over at least a decade. Hahaha.

sony ends disc production for every new playstation game in january 2028.
a new release becomes a download, or a box with a code in it.

the petition is approaching 350,000 verified names.
sony's public reply, twenty-six days in: nothing.

so the community stopped asking politely.

engagement is the number sony leads with every quarter, ahead of hardware.
the published figure only samples the last month of a quarter.
the internal dashboards read every single day.

a week-shaped hole in late august lands on someone's desk long before
november does.

a petition needs sony to choose to read it.

I never thought comparing Playstation to the Lorax would work so perfectly.

Really bums me out to see and hear what's going on. But we don't owe companies anything, they need consumers and should respect their opinions. Not ignore them and treat them like a statistic.

Speak with your wallets and not just signatures and petitions. Those are all good options, but they aren’t going to lead to real change. Now it may be hard in the short term, but it’ll be worth it in the long term.

As someone who doesn’t even have a PSN account, and has stayed strictly PC for the past decade, the only way that Sony is TRULY going to start paying attention to our outcries and backlash is by cancelling PSN accounts and products or services that doesn’t directly support Sony.

I’m sure glad I haven’t cared about PlayStation since the PS2. I still have it, and all my original games, so no need to spend money on Sony ever again.
