While the 4 year cycle theory appears to be alive and well... I'm still torn on whether it really is a 4 year *bitcoin specific* cycle.

For example, let's recall what happened in 2022, where we saw:

◾️the highest inflation in 40 years
◾️the fastest rate hiking cycle ever
◾️QT
◾️declining M2
◾️multiple large platform blow-ups/frauds (Luna, Celsius, BlockFi, Voyager, FTX)

Did Bitcoin fall from $65k to $16k because of those factors? Or because of "the four year cycle"?

Currently in 2026, there are not as many clear factors that ostensibly caused the ~50% price decline (OGs selling, miners selling, AI hype). But perhaps additional causes will become more clear soon...
