Just watched José Mourinho’s Netflix documentary. What could have been if Roman Abramovich had backed him with the players he actually wanted after back-to-back league titles, Samuel Eto’o and the rest. We could have dominated English football for a decade.

The irony is that Eto’o ended up winning the treble under him at Inter anyway.

José had his flaws, but he’ll always be one of the greatest managers in history. The triumphs at Chelsea, the treble at Inter, silverware everywhere he went. He is football and football is him.

The algorithm will always push "who's better" over "both are great" because loyalty and outrage are the two highest-retention emotions on earth.

The only people paying the cost are the fans, arguing with strangers at 2am, generating free content for the celebrities, the biggest losers? Those who burn bridges over such things.

Tribalism is a bug in our psychology and l internet just found a way to monetize it 24/7.
