I was devastated to hear. Idk what even to say. He wasn’t old and was still working on projects. Growing up I lived and breathed DB. Developed my entire moral center around it. I’m profoundly grateful for the rich universes and life lessons. RIP and thank you for everything.
The Toriyama news is really tearing me up more than any other celebrity death thus far.
when i was a kid, i was obsessed with dragon ball z.
i got all the video games i could find, i had all of the dragon ball fan workbooks filled with trivia that i knew by heart, i even learned how to spell words like vegetable thanks to him. i printed out dozens of dragon ball pictures from the show onto white computer paper and taped them up all over my room.
i would always tune into watch it on toonami and would always sing "Rock The Dragon" or make kamehameha motions when i got bored. i spent hours on saiyan ultimate dot com, my first foray into the internet to learn about how Ki could possibly be real and see fan designs for super saiyan 5. i stayed up nights on end playing dragon ball z budokai 1-3 and budokai tenkaichi and dragonball sagas with my friends on ps2 and gamecube, and hours by myself playing their story and tournament modes over and over. later on in life i played Fighter Z and the Super card game.
at a loss for words and actually crying rn but he shaped my life so profoundly
thank you Toriyama
@DaGroove_eth @m0gwai_ First collection was exploratory for sure. My first foray into AI. I left in a few mishaps like this cuz I thought they were funny 🤓
