@stefen_rosner I think the big problem with the Islanders forward lineup right now is that they have a LOT of middle six players, with some that might deserve 1st line....but almost nobody that I think can excel in a 4th line role.

@CarverHigh_ contender to just squeak in, I can agree with that. Maybe if they can do well and buy at the deadline, but they shouldn't be buyers. They made that mistake last year.
@nyisyd Darche quickly get the basics that were needed. A LW, a 3rd string goalie and a Rshot Dman. All for no term and low cost. Be patient for next year and hope that young prospects/players can step up. I think they can make playoffs, just not contend for cup w/o a sniper
@AGrossNewsday Contender to make the playoff, yes, if no injuries. If I remember, the Islander were doing well for a while last season, they were not able to sustain it. Would love the prospects and young players to take a step.
@WillChiarucci I feel like Darche got the basics done quick and now he can focus on a diamond in the rough or a cherry surprise. Maybe something with a trade.
@IslesGirl3@stefen_rosner Yes, I knew you were and so was I :) We are all very familiar with how the Islanders get treated on UFA day. They didn't have the cap space to try for anyone this year and I am glad Darche is getting ready for next year.
@islesblogger@JCapGLJ@JCapGLJ I think Darche did great being patient by not giving out much term...like none, and got Goalie, LW and a RHD that can fill in while waiting for prospects to develop and a better market next year.
