We showed that leakage of the paternal plastid genome can rescue inter-lineages hybrids suffering from plastid-nuclear incomp. More below 👇🧐 https://t.co/PLijIRcDQt

PhD opportunity in my group at UiO on adaptation to shifting temperatures in house sparrows. Looking for candidates interested in combining evolutionary genomics and ecological approaches! Please RT! https://t.co/E9P5zcjSKd
Our great work led by the Schumer lab is finally out @Nature This is some of the best evidence out there that mitonuclear interactions can lead to speciation.

Good news for early 2024: New paper out in Annals of Botany ! We tested for potential rescue of inter-lineages hybrids of Silene nutans (Caryophyllaceae) through paternal transmission of the plastid genome 👇

We have a new preprint out on the genetic causes and genomic consequences of breakdown of distyly in Linum. Find me on bsky or mastodon for thread on this. https://t.co/hyCgcND1uL
Super happy to be awarded a project grant for our Linum supergene and mating system work from the Swedish Research Council, AND a Formas grant on unlocking genetic variation for drought tolerance using landscape genomics in crop wild relatives! @deepsthlmuni@Stockholm_Uni
Go check out this preprint led by @F_Monnet and @CRouxEvo ! Super exciting results about faster establishment of reproductive barriers in plants vs animals 👇🌿

I’m recruiting a postdoc to work on population genomics in salamanders. If you have experience analyzing RAD-seq data and want to understand range dynamics and impacts of climate change on populations, join us! Ad here: https://t.co/M2F8fFrYmw
Happy to share our work on the evolution of sex-biased genes (SBG) in plants! We used the transcriptomes of 11 dioecious and gynodioecious species within Silene genus to examine SBG evolution during independent transitions to dioecy. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Really excited about this breakthrough by Luis Brieba and his group to express and purify plant MSH1 in functional form. Lots of additional avenues and ongoing work to understand its mechanisms for controlling recombination and mutation rates.
