@ArchieNapier293@IRanalyst Total cost of Jobkeeper was $90 billion,
but '$40 billion' went to profitable Businesses who were overpaid, and not entitled to the money
Gerry Harvey received $20 million, when he should not have.
$40 billion of taxpayers money squandered by the Liberals
So former Liberal Party Rottweiler Sophie Mirabella has been charged by the police for a crime that can’t yet be revealed? Interesting. Here she is in happier times out celebrating with an unidentified friend. #auspol
According to Jillian Segal the ABC and SBS need oversight of its reporting on Gaza and they should run +ve stories about Israel.
I reckon truthful reporting on Israels inhumanity, ethnic cleansing, apartheid and genocide is essential.
This should be the Royal Commissions priority
Jillian Segal claimed Gaza death toll is 'grossly inflated'. Here are the facts.
Legal expert warns Segal could be in breach of Royal Commission Act over 'misleading' claims https://t.co/6P1y4NSi1Y
Can someone “please explain” to One Nation, the difference between a slogan and a fully costed and economically modelled policy. They seem to not understand the difference.
While you’re at it; perhaps also explain that an entire platform built around nothing but random, indiscriminate cuts to government spending without any meaningful evidence of inefficiency beyond “I don’t like it” and without any associated plan to replace essential services is not going to “make Australia great” (again)…
This clip from my video podcast, explains why electricity and gas bills keep rising, and how renewables could reverse that. If you find the video informative, please share & subscribe to the YouTube channel. https://t.co/G6ostcZdDL

One Nation will tell you Pauline Hanson is the only one fighting for them. “Australians first.” The whole MAGA-pitch. Here's who she's spent her life fighting against:
• Aboriginal ppl— opposed Native Title and Welcome to Country; wants to abolish the National Indigenous Australians Agency to “save” $12.5B; her 2020 “Close the Gap” speech called Aboriginal parents lazy & negligent
- Nurses & aged care workers — $20,000–$34,000 worse off under Hanson. Called nurses overpaid
. Immigrants & refugees — wants to deport 75,000 “illegal migrants,” withdraw from the UN Refugee Convention, cut immigration to a 130,000 visa cap, with no economic modelling on the cost to Aust,
• Public schools — voted almost always against incr funding for public schools, incl cuts that stripped support from students with disability
• Teachers — pushed a narrative schools have “poor academic standards” & a lot of teachers can’t read & write properly.
• Students with disability — said they don't belong in mainstream classrooms because they're “disruptive”
• Welfare recipients— supported mandatory drug testing for recipients, & when a senator opposed it, publicly used that senator's son's drug addiction against her
• Welfare recipients broadly — $90B spending-cut plan targets the NDIS, Medicare & welfare payments, with no independently costed detail on how or any alternative method to support these vulnerable groups,
• Disabled Australians— wants to scrap wheelchair-access requirements for new homes
- Trans Australians — called it a “militant force” & “subversive transgender insurgency” that “must be dismantled; said trans “propaganda” was being imposed on children in schools. Trans Australians make up 1% of the pop’n.
• Childcare workers —questioned why they need qualifications, asking why centres need “people with some sort of degree to look after a child”
• Families /childcare access — voted consistently against incr childcare support, called the system “completely out of control”
• Asian-Australians — infamous 1996 maiden speech claiming we are being, “swamped by Asians”
• Muslim Australians — Senate burqa stunt got her suspended by Parliament, called for a Muslim immigration ban, said in 2026 there are no “good” Muslims
• African-Australian communities — pushed an “African gang” rhetoric against the actual data
• LGBTQ+ Australians — opposed marriage equality
• Domestic violence victims — repeatedly claimed women lie about abuse to win family court cases
• Women's reproductive rights — pushes to roll back abortion access nationally
• Women's pay / parental leave — dismissed the gender pay gap & said women shouldn't be paid on parental leave because “they're not at work”
- pledged to sack the Sex Discrimination Commissioner and Human Rights Commission
• Rape victims — kept convicted rapist Sean Black on staff for years & defended it
• Working Australians — opposed the minimum wage rise & tax break for low-paid workers, while taking a $100k pay rise
• Casual workers; voted no to same job, same pay
• Coal miners: a deal with the LNP cost mineworkers $16M in entitlements
• Pensioners;opposed pension increases
• Renters / home buyers; voted almost always against incr housing affordability
• Journalists — banned the ABC, voted consistently to cut ABC/SBS funding, called a reporter “trashy”
- Australians who rely on global health & scientific cooperation —wants to withdraw Australia from the WHO & the UN, abolished the TGA in her spending plan, rejects the IPCC’s climate science consensus, and wants to scrap net zero and the Department of Climate Change
So; yes, Hanson is “Australia first” — as long as you're not:
Aboriginal,
a nurse,
an aged care worker,
a public school student,
a teacher,
disabled,
rely on welfare,
in childcare,
Asian,
Muslim,
African,
gay,
transgender,
a survivor of abuse,
a woman,
a worker,
a pensioner, a
renter,
a journalist, or
someone who trusts science
So who, exactly, is she fighting for?
So apparently One Nation have paid for thousands of fake social media accounts to glorify their party and viciously attack those criticising them, and they are all based in Indonesia. As Pauline would say: "We are in danger of being swamped by Asian bots."
David Pocock pauses, overcome with emotion, while detailing UN’s horrific findings against Israel
“IDF has now killed 20,000 Palestinian children”
“…deliberately shot at children’s limbs…as a twisted game of target practice”😔
Barbaric & sickening. This is our ally?
Fighting the wrong enemy? Newspoll has them at a minuscule 17% primary vote & Redbridge-Accent, largely concurs. Yet Angus Taylor thinks polishing up Dutton’s regional first plan will somehow deliver the Coalition.
Larissa Waters says it’s ”time to wake up” to One Nation’s use of foreign AI bot farms flooding social media with “racist, hateful messages”
“to promote ON & attack everyone else”
“Tsunamis of trash funded by billionaires”
“Australia can’t keep sleepwalking into fascism”💥
@TigerAncient Tony Abbott was the biggest liar ever ,
to walk the halls of Parliament
He lied before the election
He lied after the election and continued to lie during his prime ministership
He even admitted to lying
A lie tally counted 85 lies in 88months

If you have a brain, you have bias.
Negative information shapes our behaviour far more than positive — because negative can actually kill you. Missing a threat can be fatal. Missing a reward usually wasn’t. So the brain evolved to weight negativity, bad news, danger, and loss more heavily than good news, positive experiences and gain. This isn’t a personality flaw or a character weakness. It’s a primal survival mechanism. The brain’s core job has never been to make you happy — it’s to detect threats and keep you alive.
Decades of psychological research confirm it: Baumeister et al.’s “bad is stronger than good,” and Kahneman & Tversky’s work on loss aversion both show negative information is processed faster, remembered longer, and weighted more heavily than positive information of equal size.
That’s exactly what grievance politics exploits. Politicians who understand this don’t need facts on their side — they need repetition. Flood people with messages that the country is failing, that they’re worse off, that someone is taking what’s theirs — and you don’t need to persuade anyone- you just need them to feel threatened. You’re hijacking a threat-detection system that’s been running since before language existed.
It’s how Trump won. It’s the same mechanic running through One Nation’s playbook here. Manufacture the grievance, flood the feed, and let biology do the rest.
The problem isn’t that people are gullible. It’s that fear is a much louder signal than truth — and they know it.
Pauline Hanson seeks to walk back her opposition to paid parental leave volunteered at the Press Club last week. I do not imagine it will be the last such retreat.
The media has not bothered to thoroughly fact check Hansons National Press Club address so I’ve done it for them. 18 false and / or misleading statements. John Paul Janke was the journalist who pushed back on her claims and Sarah Martin questioned her about her daughters position as campaign advisor (rightly so) and was called a “trashy journalist” by Hanson and told she would be banned from future pressers. Nothing else was challenged by the so called journalists in attendance and she continues to be unchallenged on the facts in every interview she sits.
