All this uproar about nurses not getting a pay rise & here I am still trying to sort mine from moving trusts as itโs still down as newly qualified rate & now thereโs a problem with the scheduling system that means I wonโt be getting enhanced rate for my never ending nightshifts๐
Started to read some comments on the latest covid 19 update & instant regret..๐ณWOW...Cannot believe there are people out there that hold such wild opinions/beliefs.
Having worked 2months on a covid ward Iโm baffled that people think it isnโt a thing ๐ญ๐๐
Had my first proper post work cry in a long time this morning after nightshift. I know healthcare is getting a lot of attention at the minute, but I honestly cannot express enough how heartbreaking things are currently in the hospitals. So be kind, everyoneโs doing their best ๐
The decision to rewatch greyโs anatomy in this current climate was perhaps a little misguided.. RIP Denny Duquette & all of my happiness ๐ฅบ๐๐
There was a complaint put in to my work from a relative who was understandably upset that she couldnโt visit her aunt in hospital..however her argument was โitโs not fair, the nurses get to go in and thatโs not rightโ.. ๐ณ๐๐
Tried to go to Tesco for just after 9am as itโs open an hour early for nhs workers..cars queued all the way from my street to the shop then people all queued round the car park on foot...social distancing is working well..๐๐ didnโt even leave my car & headed right back home ๐
Literally just moved down south solely to be nearer Josh & because he has bad asthma & Iโm still working in the hospital,Iโm not able to see him til this all calms down.. itโs been a week & I already hate it here without seeing him ๐ญ๐ this pretty much sums up my luck in life๐
Currently worrying much more about the conditions Iโm working in as opposed to the fear of actually contracting the virus myself.Already we work with a shortage of nurses/HCA/doctors, and these numbers are only dwindling more..itโs going to become impossible to deliver safe care.
One thing I love about living in a completely new place is I can just casually pop to Tescoโs like a tramp & with no make up on & not worry about meeting anyone I know ๐๐ผ my skin & my sanity are grateful โบ๏ธ
Sort of weirdly reassuring that nursing is just as hard/unpredictable/exhausting no matter what country youโre working in ๐ค Bloody love my job though ๐ง
You never realise how many clothes you do actually have until itโs time to pack them up to move ๐๐ itโs been a ruthless day of bin, stay, take๐๐๐
Officially start my new job on the 17th of February & I actually canโt believe itโs all happening ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฅณ
Never thought Iโd be the kinda girl to move my life for a boy but what a boy he is ๐ค๐ฅฐ
Today is a BIG day..Josh arrives from Birmingham, Chris, Alex, Sadie & Fiona arrive from America and Mark & Jen arrive from Australia! ๐ฑ I canโt contain my excitement for Christmas this year! Family really is everything ๐ฅฐโฅ๏ธ
Hear so many people moan about not getting their scan or op etc the minute they are admitted to hospital. The NHS allows people to get these things free of charge & the reason for the hold up is not because we donโt care.. itโs because emergencies rightfully take priority.
