All this uproar about nurses not getting a pay rise & here I am still trying to sort mine from moving trusts as it’s still down as newly qualified rate & now there’s a problem with the scheduling system that means I won’t be getting enhanced rate for my never ending nightshifts😂

I spent over 3 years working in the same ward. In the space of 3 months I’m now on my 3rd ward at QEHB.. what a time to move 😂🙈

Started to read some comments on the latest covid 19 update & instant regret..😳WOW...Cannot believe there are people out there that hold such wild opinions/beliefs.
Having worked 2months on a covid ward I’m baffled that people think it isn’t a thing 😭🙈😂

Had my first proper post work cry in a long time this morning after nightshift. I know healthcare is getting a lot of attention at the minute, but I honestly cannot express enough how heartbreaking things are currently in the hospitals. So be kind, everyone’s doing their best 💔

There was a complaint put in to my work from a relative who was understandably upset that she couldn’t visit her aunt in hospital..however her argument was “it’s not fair, the nurses get to go in and that’s not right”.. 😳🙈😂

Tried to go to Tesco for just after 9am as it’s open an hour early for nhs workers..cars queued all the way from my street to the shop then people all queued round the car park on foot...social distancing is working well..🙈😂 didn’t even leave my car & headed right back home 🙈

Literally just moved down south solely to be nearer Josh & because he has bad asthma & I’m still working in the hospital,I’m not able to see him til this all calms down.. it’s been a week & I already hate it here without seeing him 😭🙈 this pretty much sums up my luck in life😂

Currently worrying much more about the conditions I’m working in as opposed to the fear of actually contracting the virus myself.Already we work with a shortage of nurses/HCA/doctors, and these numbers are only dwindling more..it’s going to become impossible to deliver safe care.

One thing I love about living in a completely new place is I can just casually pop to Tesco’s like a tramp & with no make up on & not worry about meeting anyone I know 🙌🏼 my skin & my sanity are grateful ☺️

Today is a BIG day..Josh arrives from Birmingham, Chris, Alex, Sadie & Fiona arrive from America and Mark & Jen arrive from Australia! 😱 I can’t contain my excitement for Christmas this year! Family really is everything 🥰♥️

Hear so many people moan about not getting their scan or op etc the minute they are admitted to hospital. The NHS allows people to get these things free of charge & the reason for the hold up is not because we don’t care.. it’s because emergencies rightfully take priority.
