I did the same thing this year expanding what I kept track of and it’s still ugly. I watched around 70ish games this season. There was only a single time there was more than one woman on the major broadcasts and out of all of those games I only saw a POC on a broadcast 10 times.

Throughout this season I’ve been keeping track of women on NHL broadcasts and it’s extremely disappointing. In all of the games I watched there was not a single instance of the major broadcasters (sportsnet and tsn) having more than one woman on at a time.

If you look between the years there’s technically been an improvement in that most of the Sportsnet broadcasts included a woman but a lot of the time having a just one woman feels like they are doing it so that they don’t get yelled at
